Damar Hamlin has received lots of support while he works his way back from suffering a cardiac arrest last Monday.
The outpouring of love and tributes has been remarkable and there was no shortage while the Buffalo Bills were gearing up to play the New England Patriots at home this Sunday.
The Bills trailed Bill Belichick’s men 17-14 at the time of writing. They took a 14-7 lead in the second quarter when Josh Allen found Dawson Knox in the Pats’ end zone after the latter’s crafty movement that freed him up for an easy catch.
Knox, who rolled to the ground after the reception, immediately jumped up and sent Damar some love, making a heart gesture with his hands as the stricken safety is known to do. Devin Singleton joined the celebration, throwing three fingers up to signify Hamllin’s jersey number.
Hamlin subsequently took to Twitter to let his teammate know how he felt about the gesture. “I love you too,” he tweeted.
