Aside from the Kansas City Chiefs, nothing is officially standing in the way of the Buffalo Bills to advance to the Super Bowl.
A long-standing curse surrounding the Bills not being able to win a Super Bowl has been lifted.
In the 1990s, the Fox television show The X-Files was known for its deep dives into conspiracy theories.
In one episode, government officials discussed fixing the Academy Award nominations. That is when the Bills came up.
The Cigarette Smoking Man had something to say.
“I’m working on next month’s Oscar nominations,” an agent says. “Any preference?”
The Cigarette Smoking Man’s response: “I couldn’t care less. What I don’t want to see is the Bills winning a Super Bowl. As long as I’m alive, that doesn’t happen.”

Another agent says: “Could be tough, sir. Buffalo wants it bad.”
“So did the Soviets in ’80,” the Smoking Cigarette Man says.
“What, are you saying you rigged the Olympic hockey game?”
“What’s the matter,” the Cigarette Smoking Man responds. “Don’t you believe in miracles?”
The Buffalo Bills have come up short 4 times in Super Bowls all-time.
With that in mind, the Bills have had a “curse” lifted off of them ahead of their trip to Arrowhead.
William B. Davis, who played “Cigarette Smoking Man,” stated this week, “I am today officially removing my curse on the Buffalo Bills,” Davis writes. “If they are able to defeat Kansas City, I will permit them to go on and win the Super Bowl.”
Had this sent to me today. The actor who played the Cigarette Smoking Man on X-Files lifted his “curse” on the #Bills.

The Buffalo Bills Are Ready To Break This Dreaded Curse
The Buffalo Bills have famously never won a Super Bowl after the franchise did the unthinkable and lost all four of their big game appearances in a row from the 1990 to 1993 seasons.
Having them win the AFC Championship game would be a double monkey off their back, as the team would advance to the Super Bowl while overcoming the Chiefs, who have won three Super Bowls and made four Super Bowl appearances since 2019.
