You know football season is almost back when football fans are back to mocking the Buffalo Bills about their lack of a Super Bowl championship.
The Bills, of course, lost four straight Super Bowl championships in the ’90s. Despite four straight double-digit win seasons and three consecutive AFC East division titles under Sean McDermott and Josh Allen, the Bills have only advanced past the Divisional Round once.
A photo of the Bills hanging up a Lombardi Trophy banner at their training facility has gone viral, simply for the fact that the organization has never won it all. And of course, NFL Twitter was full of jokes:

The Bills were widely viewed as the favorites to win the Super Bowl last season, but they lost 27-10 to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Divisional Round. Buffalo hasn’t advanced past round two since their trip to the AFC Championship Game in 2020 (a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs).
Buffalo is one of 12 NFL teams that hasn’t won a Super Bowl championship. Their quest to win No. 1 begins with a Monday night showdown against the New York Jets on Sept. 11.
