The Buffalo Bills have their second safety injury of 2022 training camp and the latest one could have Jordan Poyer sidelines for quite some time.
According to multiple reports, Poyer suffered a potentially serious arm injury during Tuesday’s practice. He was hit on the arm by RB James Cook or an offensive lineman during a run play. He grabbed at his wrist/forearm/elbow and was in visible pain.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network says Poyer will have an MRI.
Micah Hyde left practice on Friday with hip soreness and All-Pro cornerback Tre’Davious White is still recovering from midseason ACL surgery and could miss the start of the season.
Poyer was phenomenal in 2021, racking up 93 tackles, nine passes defended, five interceptions, and three sacks.
He was hoping to get a new contract this offseason.
