The Buffalo Bills have swung the axe this Wednesday, with several notable names released from their roster.
Center and team captain Mitch Morse has been added to the list of players cut by the team as they look to ready themselves for the swiftly approaching new NFL year.

Morse was due to make $8.5 million in salary this year, so the team will get that cap space back. They have also released wide receiver and kick returner Deontay Harty, which leaves them $4.6 million in dead money, but they are also saving over $8 million in cap space as they’ve also released safeties Jordan Poyer and Siran Neal.
Morse joined the Bills in 2019. He started all 87 of the games he played for the team, including in the playoffs.
Harty spent a single season in Buffalo, making 15 catches for 150 yards. He also scored a touchdown on a 96-yard punt return.
