A frightening moment unfolded on Monday night after Buffalo cornerback Dane Jackson was taken off the field in an ambulance after suffering a neck injury.
The incident went down after Jackson made a tackle and got into a terrible collision with teammate Tremaine Edmunds.
Jackson was taken to the hospital immediately after the collision, and the updates surrounding him had been positive.
The Bills announced after halftime that Jackson “has full movement” in his extremities and was transported to a local hospital to undergo a CT scan and X-rays to test for a neck injury.
The following morning, we got even better news.
“Dane Jackson, I am told, is already home,” Garafolo said. “He has been released from the hospital. In fact, he walked out of the hospital. All indications are he has avoided a major injury.”

Edmunds, meanwhile, explained the hit from his perspective.
“Yeah, definitely a tough play,” Edmunds said. “Just kind of saw the receiver still up, just trying to finish the play.
“Obviously, a situation that I didn’t do intentionally. I would never try to do something like that to my teammate. But like I said, man, the receiver was still up. I was just trying to finish him to the ground and, unfortunately, I ended up hitting Dane.”
The Bills selected Jackson in the seventh round of the 2020 draft.
