The snow is falling at a heavy rate, forcing New York Governor Kathy Hochul to not only announce a travel ban but also postpone the Bills-Steelers playoff game.
The Bills’ NFL playoff game against the Steelers, originally scheduled to go ahead at 1 pm EST on Sunday, was postponed and moved to Monday due to a terrible winter storm.
Driving conditions are treacherous and one Bills player made himself into a huge hero for his actions.
On his Instagram story, Bills offensive lineman Ryan Van Demark shared a video of his fellow offensive lineman Alec Anderson helping out a driver caught in the bad weather conditions.
Hours before the game would get postponed, the Bills asked fans to show up early to the game to shovel snow, offering a rate of $20 an hour, along with complimentary food and breaks throughout the shifts.
Since the postponement, the team has released a statement to tell fans to abide by the travel ban and not report to Highmark Stadium until it is lifted.
