The Pegulas are a very prominent family in the world of sports. Terry owns the Buffalo Bills franchise, but huge news has come out about his daughter and heiress to the Bills, Jessie Pegula.
On Thursday, she took on Karolína Muchová of the Czech Republic, winning two of three sets to finish it.
This would be a monumental career win for Jessie, who has competed in the U.S. Open 12 times in the singles but has yet to reach the finals. In fact, before this, the farthest she had ever gotten was the quarterfinals.
However, at the Australian Open, she has made the quarterfinals three of the last four years and has reached the same level in both the French Open and Wimbledon.
The only other time she reached the finals in a Grand Slam tournament was as a part of a doubles team at the French Open in 2022, when she would eventually lose.

Throughout her time competing in the singles portion of Grand Slam tournaments, her career record is 41-22.
It would be a monumental win for the now 30-year-old if she could win against Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus.
