Fans were very happy to see Damar Hamlin on Wednesday.
The safety has been fully cleared to participate in training camp and joined his teammates for the Buffalo Bills’ first training camp session. He walked out to effusive cheering and applause from the Buffalo faithful.
The team posted a video of the moment to their official Twitter account, captioning it “Here comes 3.”
Hamlin is a testament to mental fortitude. Just seven months ago, he was basically dead for a few seconds as his heart stopped twice – once on the field during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, and then a second time after leaving the grounds for the hospital.
The 25-year-old has made a remarkable recovery and his experience has prompted him to devote his time to nationwide CPR training.
Hamlin presented the Bills’ training and medical staff with the Pat Tillman Award for Service at the recent ESPYs in Los Angeles as their speedy reaction to his collapse saved his life.

He was fully cleared for football activities by April and was available for the Bills’ OTAs last month. Bills head coach Sean McDermott has revealed the player won’t be training with any restrictions.
“Damar Hamlin will be a full go at training camp and we’re behind him 100%. We’ll go at his cadence,” McDermott told reporters on Wednesday.
