Lukas Van Ness’ dad was extremely happy to see that the Green Bay Packers drafted his son 13th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft on Thursday. His happiness led to an awkward moment.
Jason Van Ness, the father of the Van Ness family, rose up and pounded his hands in pleasure before giving Frankie Kmet, Lukas’ fiancée, a bear embrace.
Jason then proceeded to spank Kmet’s behind twice, instantly going viral online.
The moment came seconds after Kmet, who was by Van Ness’ side when the Packers called, gave her boyfriend an emotional kiss.
This was a moment that had Budda Baker shocked.
The Cardinals star safety took to Twitter and appeared to call out Lukas Van Ness’ father for the ass slap.

“Ok ok ok… look, if my dad touched my lady ass on draft night or anytime, I’m checkin him!!!” Baker wrote on Friday. “ESPECIALLY if he still with my mom.
“Maybe that’s just me though, I didn’t grow up wit my pops so maybe that it.
“… aye also! There’s nothing wrong with being a day 2 guy!! Just work!!” Baker, a second-round pick (No. 36, overall) by the Cardinals in 2017, wrote.
Van Ness tallied 19.5 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks and two blocked punts over three seasons at Iowa, where he earned the nickname “Hercules.” The 21-year-old was a second-team All-Big Ten selection in 2022, and in 2021, he was named a freshman All-American.
In the meantime, now that the draft is over, the Arizona Cardinals still have two of the most coveted trade candidates on their roster in wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and safety Budda Baker.
Baker requested a trade in the weeks leading up to the draft as he looks to move to a contender after making the Pro Bowl last season despite his team’s struggles. He’s been to five Pro Bowls in his six seasons in the league.
He is one of the few bright spots on a team that is seemingly trending in the wrong direction.
He has two years left on his current contract worth $13.1 million and $14.2 million in base salary, but none of it is guaranteed.
