Michael Thomas chose the worst possible time to tally zero catches for the first time ever in his NFL career.
The reigning NFL Offensive Player of the year logged zero catches for 0 yards and 0 touchdowns in the loss to the Tampa Bay Bucs.
Many have been referring to Thomas as ‘slant boy’ as many of his 149 catches in 2019 came on slant routes and short passes. Bucs cornerback Carlton Davis, who covered Thomas for much of Sunday’s game, called attention to the nickname with a tweet.
