Much like Kyler Murray had to deal with talks about his size, Bryce Young is now going through it at the NFL combine.
Coming into the NFL Combine this week, the former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback has had to deal with criticism and questions about his height and weight.
On Friday, Young had a fiery message to his critics.
“I’ve been this size, respectfully, my whole life,” Young said. “I know who I am, I know what I can do. For me, it’s fair, everyone can speculate, ask me every question. I’m going to continue to control what I can control, keep working my hardest to put myself in this position. I’m confident in myself. I know what I can do.”
He’s not wrong. Young cannot make himself grow between now and the NFL Draft. His height is his height and teams will have to deal with it and figure out if they want him to be the man on their team behind center.
Young won’t be taking his official weight or getting measured until Saturday.

Young is considered the No. 1 quarterback in this year’s class. It is unlikely any team will pass on him because of his height.
This past season, Young threw for 3,328 yards and 32 TDs in three fewer games than he played last season.
