Tom Brady is coming back. That’s bad news for 31 NFL teams, but great news for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who can put off their search for a new franchise quarterback for at least one more season — and knowing Brady, probably more.
One man who must be ecstatic about the news is Bucs head coach Bruce Arians. Despite rumors of tension between Brady and Arians towards the end of the season, things seem to be friendly enough between them to convince Tommy to come back for another season.
So what does Arians think about Brady’s return? Based on a statement from Ian Rapoport, the Bucs’ bench boss is ‘totally excited’ about the GOAT’s return.
This is no surprise to anyone, as the Bucs were set to enter the 2022 season with 2021 second-round pick Kyle Trask as their only quarterback still under contract.
Guess you can officially cross the Buccaneers off the list of possible Deshaun Watson suitors at this point, as they were believed to be putting together an “aggressive” offer earlier today. It’s amazing how quickly things can change in the NFL.
