Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown gave the NFL world quite the shock last season when he took off his jersey and waved to the fans while leaving the field during a game against the New York Jets.
The ordeal forced head coach Bruce Arians into kicking him off the team and reliving the moment ever since.
In an interview with Pardon My Take, Arians recalled the infamous scene and how he responded to Brown’s shocking antics as a head coach.
“That was, yeah, very emotional. Very high-pitched,” Arians joked. “That’s a unique individual. And, you know, he helped us win a Super Bowl, but uh, AB, he’s a great player. Nobody works harder than AB.”
When the moment went down, he knew exactly how big of a story it was going to be.
“Oh yeah, you do already know,” Arians said. “It was going to be a story for a while.”
