Making rookies pay a ridiculous amount on food outings is as common as anything in sports and not many fans like seeing it.
Seeing as how most players are unable to carve out long careers, all the money they obtain really needs to be put to better use.
As the team travels and spends the week in Los Angeles as they prepare for the Rams, the defensive linemen went out for dinner together and that included rookie defensive linemen Siaki Ika and Isaiah McGuire.
They survived this long without their “welcome to the NFL” moment, but they certainly were in the shock of their life on this night.
As the check from the dinner came due, all of the veterans huddled together to present the rookies with a tab of nearly $40,000 on the night.
It looks like the team and the rookies took it all in stride. They desperately needed some laughter as they came off a double-digit loss to the Denver Broncos.

The Browns are 7-4 and in third place in the AFC North. After losing to the Denver Broncos, the Cleveland Browns’ chances to make the NFL playoffs dropped a bit.
With the loss in Week 12, the Browns dropped one spot in the seeding to No. 6 after the Steelers jumped them. If it was wildcard weekend, the Browns would travel to play the Jaguars. If Cleveland were to lose in Week 13, they would stay in the same spot thanks to the tiebreaker they own over the Colts.
