Browns teammates liked Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham, but it does not seem like the two of them liked each other very much.
Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and cornerback Greg Newsome II revealed some of the dynamic between Mayfield and Beckham that led to the WR making his exit from the Browns last season.
“It was just so much, that relationship, those relationships just from the whole entire thing was just off, honestly,” Newsome said on the “Varsity House” podcast, per Pro Football Talk.
“And yes it was distracting, but I knew like at the end of the day I still had to do my job.”
“Odell’s gotta be one of the best teammates that I’ve had,” Owusu-Koramoah said.
“Honestly, the crazy thing is, Baker was a great teammate, too,” Newsome said.

Now both Beckham and Mayfield find themselves in NFL limbo. Odell tore his ACL in the Super Bowl and has yet to find a team to sign him while Mayfield has been replaced in Cleveland by Deshaun watson.
Odel has made it clear he would like to return to Cleveland, and we can all see why that is.
As far as Mayfield, one only wonders where he will end up.
