Odell Beckham Jr.’s former teammate in Cleveland, John Johnson, expressed skepticism following his move to sign with the Los Angeles Rams.
While speaking to reporters, Johnson provided his thoughts on the subject.
“I don’t know how that’s going to work,” Johnson said.
“They had a good thing going, a complete offense. I know from being in LA, I know for a fact, that offense runs through Cooper Kupp… the run game, the pass game, the screen game, it kinda runs through Cooper Kupp. Obviously, Odell, he’s a big name and he is going to want that attention as well, so it’ll be interesting… I wouldn’t really want to go there if I were him.”
John Johnson spent the first four years of his career with the Rams.
Beckham Jr. is still a very talented receiver and perhaps a change of scenery is all he needed. We all know how he performs when he plays for a team in a big city. He’s had over 1,000 receiving yards in five of his eight seasons and can make any catch on the field.

He and Baker Mayfield just never got on the same page. It was just a bad combination that is now over. Beckham signed a one-year contract in L.A. worth $1.25 million with an additional $3 million tied to team incentives.
OBJ’s first game with the Rams will likely be against the Packers, a team he was also rumored to have interest in.
