It’s been a while since the Denver Broncos beat the Kansas City Chiefs. Eight years, to be exact.
So when the Broncos finally got the monkey off their back and handed Travis Kelce and the Chiefs a 24-9 drubbing, they decided to celebrate it in the most savage way possible — by blasting Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” on the stadium loudspeakers at Mile High after the final whistle.
Someone in attendance for the game noticed the savage move immediately, and the recorded it on their phone so that we could all enjoy the moment.
The Broncos’ win was their first against the Chiefs since 2015. Their defense was the biggest story of the day, holding Patrick Mahomes and company to just nine points.
As for Kelce, he had a relatively quiet day with just six receptions for 58 yards. It continued a trend where the star tight end plays below par when his new girlfriend isn’t in attendance, as Swift was unable to make it to Denver for today’s game.

At this point, the whole narrative about Swift being Kelce’s good luck charm has to be getting in the Chiefs superstar’s head. You can bet he’ll try and convince Taylor to make it out to Frankfurt for the Chiefs’ week 9 “International Series” game against the Miami Dolphins.
