The Denver Broncos announced the release of quarterback Russell Wilson earlier this week, severing ties with the veteran after two disappointing years under center.
The uSTADIUM account on X has since reported that the AFC team is also set to “shake up” its wide receiver room and could part ways with Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.
“Multiple sources tell us that Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton could be on their way out of Denver this offseason. Jeudy more likely to be traded,” they noted, suggesting Sutton could get cut.
The former SMU star took to social media with another cryptic post this week, having shared one after reports claimed that the team was listening to offers for him and Jeudy in 2023.
“I just want to be where I’m wanted and appreciated,” he wrote then.
The Broncos ultimately kept both receivers.

“I know all things happen for a reason and I trust my Gods plans over everything including whatever is next for me,” Sutton wrote at the end of the season. “Just know I gave everything to this team and organization every time I stepped on that field!”
The above suggests he doesn’t expect to be with the team next term.
With Denver releasing Wilson this week, the WR changed his X bio to: “God fearing man on a mission. what’s next?”

While Sutton and Jeudy remained with the team last year, Sean Payton does seem keen on an overhaul and could look to field an offense featuring several new faces in 2024.
