Usually when an offensive lineman is getting attention onlne, it’s because of something bad they did during the game.
This is not one of those cases as Denver Broncos Quinn Meinerz’ is being praised for the work he put in on several players from the Kansas City Chiefs.
Denver had the ball down 10-3 against the Kansas City Chiefs in the second quarter when they ran the ball with Mike Boone on 2nd-and-8 and had right guard Meinerz pull to the left to try and create a hole. He didn’t just create one, he was the entire hole.
The 6-3, 320 pound offensive lineman was selected by the Broncos in the third round of April’s NFL draft after playing college football at UW–Whitewater.
Despite playing Division III football, Meinerz caught the attention of NFL scouts and it’s not hard to see why. Unfortunately, his exceptional talent of blocking could not help the Broncos stagnant offense on this night.
