Talk about a roller-coaster of emotions during the final seconds of the Denver Broncos-Washington Commanders home game in the Mile High City.
The Broncos were oh-so-close to completing a miracle comeback that would have forced overtime against the Commanders, who almost blew an 11-point lead with just 1:50 to go.
With no time remaining on the clock, Broncos’ quarterback Russell Wilson launched a Hail Mary that took several bounces before falling into the hands of Brandon Johnson for an improbable 50-yard touchdown:
Unfortunately for the Broncos fans, that TD would just lead to a more gut-wrenching loss. On the two-point conversion try to force overtime, officials missed a blatant pass interference call that should have given Denver another attempt at the one-yard line:
