For sports fans, few things are more frustrating than watching one of your favorite players switch teams…especially if you happen to own their jersey.
But a Denver Broncos fan found a hilarious and creative way to make the most out of such a situation. During Sunday’s Denver-Baltimore game, a fan posted a photo of a Broncos’ fan turning his Bradley Chubb jersey into something else…
Ahead of the 2022 NFL trade deadline, the Broncos traded their star pass rusher (along with a 2025 fifth-rounder) to the Miami Dolphins for running back Chase Edmonds, 2023 first and a 2024 fourth-round selections.
The (likely) playoff-bound Dolphins then handed Chubb a lucrative five-year contract extension worth $110 million. Before the trade, Chubb had notched 5.5 sacks with five games as a Bronco, and he had 1.5 for Miami through his first three games there.
The Broncos drafted the North Carolina State product fifth overall in 2018, pairing Chubb with future Hall of Famer and sacks specialist Von Miller. Chubb racked up 12 sacks in his rookie year, but injuries unfortunately limited him to four games in 2019 and just seven games in the 2021 campaign.
With the Broncos well out of playoff contention, general manager George Paton decided to trade Chubb rather than risk losing him for nothing in 2022 free agency. Getting a first-round pick back was a huge win for Paton, considering that Denver gave up its 2023 first-rounder (and much more) to the Seattle Seahawks in the Russell Wilson trade.

The Broncos were widely expected to contend for a playoff berth in 2022 following the trade for the nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback. But despite fielding one of the game’s elite defenses, Denver’s offense has performed well below expectations. As such, they’re headed for a seventh consecutive non-playoff season as well as a sixth straight losing campaign.
