What happened on Sunday was not Kendall Hinton’s fault, as he ws put in a position to fail because of actions made by all quarterbacks on the roster.
The weirdest season in NFL history took another left-hand turn on Saturday afternoon when the wide receiver was forced to make his first NFL start as the emergency QB.
Hinton completed just one pass, accounted for 20 total yards of offense, and threw two interceptions in the Denver Broncos’ 31-3 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
Even still, he had a great reaction when he logged on Twitter:
It took four quarterbacks landing on the reserve/COVID-19 list for Hinton to get a shot to play in an NFL game.
Hinton played 24 of the Broncos’ 43 snaps on offense, and running backs Royce Freeman and Phillip Lindsay took direct snaps the rest of the time.
