There’s really nothing to hate about Brock Purdy, whether or not you’re a San Francisco 49ers fan, which is why social media has been showing the young quarterback support amid his struggles to recover from offseason elbow surgery.
According to the QB, there’s no certainty where it pertains to him playing next season on the back of the operation prompted by an injury suffered during the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles last season.
“I’m not really sure, honestly,” Purdy said on the possibility of playing in 2023, per Yahoo Sports.
This is sure to leave fans worried and they are hoping for the best, judging from the reactions on social media.

While Purdy is no longer wearing an external brace. He hasn’t received clearance to throw a football. The Niners announced that the player was “anticipated to start a throwing progression in three months” on the day of his surgery. If all goes to plan, that would be somewhere around June 10.
The QB is able to get some cardio done in the meantime.
“Conditioning and staying in shape and being thankful to sweat,” he said. “Those are all things you sometimes take for granted when you’re healthy, but those are big things to be proud of.”
He’s also doing visualization exercises while studying film.
San Francisco could end up starting Trey Lance next season, despite having indicated that Purdy will be their QB1. If it turns out that he cannot play next season, some trade scenarios could open up.
