Brock Purdy has the world at his feet right now and looks poised to become a household name in a short space of time.
The San Francisco 49ers quarterback has been a revelation since stepping in as the starter in the wake of injuries to Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance. He’s now looking forward to testing his mettle in the playoffs.
The 49ers are among the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year, with odds of 11/2 attached. They’re only behind the 3/1 Kansas City Chiefs and 4/1 Buffalo Bills to go all the way and are the 4/17 favorites to beat the Seattle Seahawks in the Wild Card round this Sunday.
Purdy has made the game look rather easy these last few weeks and was recently asked whether he finds playing in the NFL is easier than playing college football. He responded by saying he finds the professional game easier given the array of stellar options around him.
The QB said he felt more pressure at college as he had to make things up on his own but is grateful for that as it’s helped him develop into the player we’ve been seeing lately.

Purdy’s last outing, a win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, saw him throw for 178 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions as he completed 75 percent of his attempts.
The performance also saw him record his best passer rating of the season, and his career, at 141.3. His previous best was a 134.0 rating against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on December 11, the game in which people really began taking notice.
