There was a bit of concern regarding the availability of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy heading into Thursday Night Football, but the team has provided an update, and it’s a good one.
With the Niners set to take on the Seattle Seahawks at Lumen Field tonight, it’s looking like Purdy will be good to go for the NFC West leaders, despite dealing with an oblique injury.
Purdy left last week’s victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers late in the fourth quarter with the injury. He would later tell the media that he could have returned to the game if his team needed him. They were leading 35-7 at the time, and well on their way to a victory.
Brock Purdy And The 49ers Can Clinch Division
The Niners enter tonight’s game with a chance to wrap up the NFC West with a win. It would be their first division title since 2019.
The team is coming into the contest on a hot streak, as they have now won their last six in a row, despite being down to their third-string quarterback.
Earlier in the season, they beat the Seahawks at home by a score of 27-7. Trey Lance started that game at quarterback but suffered a season-ending ankle injury. He was replaced by Jimmy Garoppolo, who scored one touchdown through the air and another on the ground in that game.

Purdy Looking To Stay Hot
Brock Purdy has been on fire since he came in to relieve Jimmy G. The last pick of the 2022 NFL Draft has recorded four passing touchdowns and a rushing score while leading his team to two victories against a couple of pretty good teams in the Miami Dolphins and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
