Brock Purdy is undoubtedly the main man in San Francisco heading into the 2023 season as the 49ers have made their feelings on him pretty clear given Trey Lance’s move to Dallas.
Still, there is some concern over his surgically repaired elbow.
A clip from a preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers shows the quarterback rushing for a touchdown and then dropping the ball after getting into the endzone. While the play worked to perfection, physio Jeff Mueller expressed some unease over the way Purdy let the ball fall, pointing out the lack of endurance in his elbow.
“I’m concerned about Brock Purdy’s right elbow endurance,” he wrote. “Look at how he drops the ball after running 7 yards. Fatigue clearly set in.”

“Figured I’d give the haters something to cling to only to be disappointed in finding out it’s satire lol,” Mueller added in the comments.
Purdy should be looking forward to his first full season with the Niners and eyes will be on him now that he is writing what could be one of the most remarkable stories in NFL history, having gone from Mr. Irrelevant to the guy who forced the No. 3 overall pick out of town.
