Spencer Tillman has a long history with the city of Houston since he’s been associated with Houston professional football after he was drafted by the Oilers in 1987.
He has been covering professional and college sports for a very long time, so it makes what he recently said about the Texans even more confusing.
Tillman made a ridiculous comment about Texans GM Nick Caserio as the team took on the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday.
“He put this team in a wonderful position for the future and the present. I don’t think I’ve seen a better job by a GM in the last decade, or more,” he said.
A couple of things here: This is the same franchise that has their starting QB demanding a trade and dealing with multiple sexual assault lawsuits as we speak. On top of that, the team hired a 65-year-old first-time head coach and only interviewed the coaches Watson wanted after it had got out that they never did.
The hiring of GM Nick Caserio was probably the worse for thre franchise when the owner said Watons would have input on where they would go with it, and then promptly hired the former head honcho of the Patriots.
