Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes announced the birth of his son on Twitter Monday night. It can in the form of a simple tweet of a picture with the name Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III and Monday’s date and the baby’s weight of 7 pounds 8 ounces.
Brittany Mahomes also posted on her Instagram account the same picture and Bronze’s name and weight.
The next day, Kansas City’s Union Station made the moment even better by lighting up in blue and white to commemorate the newest Mahomes to the family and the city.
The new mom of two took to Twitter and showed her appreciation.
“Love y’all for doing this both times for our kiddos,” she wrote Wednesday on Twitter. “So special!!”

This gesture was repeated back in 2021 when Union City went pink to welcome the family’s daughter, Sterling Skye Mahomes.
The Mahomes family is as close to royalty when it comes to Kansas City. They have done so much for the city and we’re not even speaking about bringing a Super Bowl victory to the area.
Currently 9-2 with a three-game AFC West lead, Mahomes is poised to guide the team back to an epic playoff run that may result in a trip back to the big game.
Despite talks of him being exposed after the team traded away Tyreek Hill — Mahomes has racked up an NFL-high 3,585 passing yards.
