Brittany Mahomes took to Instagram to defend her husband, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, over his highly-publicized temper tantrum on Sunday.
The usually calm and composed Mahomes uncharacteristically went off on the referees following Kansas City’s Week 14 home loss to the Buffalo Bills. Mahomes was enraged over an offensive offsides call on wideout Kadarius Toney that took the latter’s go-ahead TD off the board with 1:!2 remaining.
Brittany defended her husband on Instagram, sharing a post of the couple together with their two kids. The caption reads, “Riding with 15 always❤️.”
Mahomes’ frustrations continued into the post-game press conference. Head coach Andy Reid, also renowned for his calm composure, also blasted the officials after the game.

It’s been a season full of frustration for the defending Super Bowl champions, who are now 8-5 and just one game up on the Denver Broncos for first in the AFC West. With four games to go, Kansas City is also two games behind the Baltimore Ravens for the top seed in the AFC.
With the Miami Dolphins (9-4) also a game up on Kansas City for the AFC’s second seed, the Chiefs face a strong likelihood of having to travel on the road in the postseason for the first time in the Mahomes era.
The Chiefs will try to rebound this Sunday when they visit the 3-10 New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.
