James Bradberry has to deal with the fact that he cost his team the Super Bowl over a holding penalty, but he took it like a man and admitted to what he did. The same cannot be said for the wife of one of his teammates.
Leah Covey, wife of Eagles return man Britain Covey, stated she thought it was quite embarrassing that the Chiefs could even celebrate the Super Bowl 57 win after the bad penalty helped them win the game.
“Watching the Chiefs celebrate their win on the field after the weakest holding call and running the game clock for the last 5 minutes,” Covey said on TikTok. “I truly have never cringed harder. Still so proud of our Eagles.”
Covey added on her Instagram story, “Honestly embarrassed for the chiefs rn??”
With just under two minutes left, the Kansas City Chiefs got an automatic first down after a defensive holding call against James Bradberry on 3rd and 8. Without that penalty, the Eagles would’ve gotten the ball back with a little under 2 minutes to go. Instead, the Chiefs wasted more clock and kicked the Super Bowl-winning field goal with eight seconds left.
Despite negative reactions on Twitter, though, the Eagles cornerback admitted the refs made the right call.

“It was a holding. I tugged his jersey. I was hoping they would let it slide,” he said after Super Bowl LVII.
The only way the Eagles get over this is making it back to the Super Bowl next season and winning it all.
