On Thursday night, Brian Urlacher hurt a lot of people with one social media post where the legendary linebacker compared Brett Favre playing in an NFL game after his dad’s death to NBA players protesting against police brutality. He was also caught liking a post in support of a 17-year-old suspect who allegedly shot protesters in Wisconsin.
The image he shared read: “Brett Favre played the [Monday Night Football] game the day his dad died, threw 4 TDs in the first half, and was a legend for playing in the face of adversity.
“NBA players boycott the playoffs because a dude reaching for a knife wanted on a felony sexual assault warrant, was shot by police.”
Urlacher will, apparently, be talking to former teammates about his posts – and views. According to Rashied Davis, the two have already agreed to ‘sit down and discuss’ what Urlacher said:

Urlacher’s former teammate Matt Forte said the former All-Pro linebacker’s message was “void of empathy, compassion, wisdom and coherence. But full of pride and ignorance.”
Blake was shot during an incident Sunday, causing several nights of violent unrest in the city.
