Brian Daboll is on a mission to make Daniel Jones a good NFL quarterback. Even if it means having to get in the face of his young quarterback and yelling at him every once in a while.
The Giants trailed the Tennessee Titans 20-13 with 8:55 left in the fourth quarter when they had the ball on Tennessee’s eight-yard-line, facing third and seven.
Jones dropped back and looked to throw a back-shoulder pass to running back Saquon Barkley. Only problem was that it found Amani Hooker for the interception.
After that awful throw, the Giants’ head coach would go over and chew Jones out for his decision. That tense altercation on the sidelines was caught by the Fox cameras.
Fortunately for them, the Giants would score a TD and then go for two to take the lead. And despite Ryan Tannehill driving the Titans into field-goal territory with just a few seconds remaining, the G-Men were able to hang on for the win when Randy Bullock missed his game-winning 47-yard attempt with no time remaining.
