Brett Favre is a man who is very opinionated and doesn’t really care for any backlash.
The hall of fame QB has been going viral this week after he said in an episode of his podcast that it is “unfair” for a transgender woman to compete in the Olympics.
“That’s unfair. It’s not fair for a man, even if this person wants to be a woman or feels compelled — if you want to become the opposite sex, that’s fine. I got no problem with it. But you can’t compete against — males cannot compete against females.”
“If I was a true female — I can’t believe I’m saying that — and I was competing in weightlifting and lost to this person, I would be beside myself.”
Among the things he spoke about was also BMX rider Chelsea Wolfe, who was chosen as an alternate for Team USA, and got exposed after an old Facebook post surfaced in which Wolfe allegedly said she would burn the American flag on the medal podium.
“My goal is to win the Olympics so I can burn a US flag on the podium. This is what they focus on during a pandemic. Hurting trans children,” Wolfe wrote on Facebook.

Favre boldly stated that Wolfe should be banned from the Olympics over those comments.
“I wouldn’t have her participate in my Olympics; go participate for somebody else,” Favre said. “To say that is such a slap in our country’s face. I can’t believe this person can be allowed to participate for our country.”
“She should be banned,” Favre later added.
New Zealand weightlifter Laurel Hubbard will become the first openly transgender athlete to compete in the Olympics after being selected to compete in the women’s super-heavyweight category.
Hubbard competed in men’s events before coming out as transgender in 2013.
