Well, this certainly came out of nowhere.
When they were teammates with the Green Bay Packers, Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers did not have the best relationship, and it only got worse as Favre transitioned away from the game.
The two QB greats have since reconciled and put their past behind them and Favre is even speaking extremely highly of Rodgers.
During an interview with TMZ Sports, Favre said Rodgers is “the best player in the game.”
He also spoke up about ex-Packers head coach Mike McCarthy and the damning Bleacher Report article where former teammates threw Rodgers under the bus for his behavior and lack of leadership skills.
“He’s really at the stage now where I was when he came into Green Bay…and now he sorta sees why I did the things that I did and was more reclusive than younger players.”
“Any coach that will attempt to coach him has to tread lightly because you don’t want to take away what he does so well — which is a lot of good things — and handcuff him.”
