Brett Favre may not be able to ever show his face in public ever again.
The NFL legendary quarterback is already in legal jeopardy for his role in the mass embezzlement of Mississippi state welfare funds to fund a volleyball arena and football facility at his alma mater, Southern Miss. University.
Now, Favre is being exposed for taking from his own charity that is aimed to help children.
Kate Briquelet of The Daily Beast exposed details of Favre directing $60,000 from his nonprofit for “disadvantaged children” to bankroll “a volleyball facility at [his daughter’s] top-performing high school.”
“From 2018-2020, Brett Favre’s charitable foundation, Favre 4 Hope, which has a stated mission to support disadvantaged children and cancer patients, donated more than $130,000 to the University of Southern Mississippi Athletic Foundation during the same years that Favre was working to finance a new volleyball center at the school.”

Favre has not been charged with a crime, but with more and more things coming out about him, one wonders how long before we see him behind bars.
Favre was specifically accused of receiving welfare money in exchange for speeches he never made and of helping to funnel grant funds to companies he’d invested in. Favre has repaid some of the money that fueled the legal battle, but he has not admitted to purposefully manipulating a welfare program.
Favre is one of many well-connected people who allegedly took welfare money in exchange for making an empty promise to help people in need.
Regardless of how the civil lawsuit shakes out, Favre’s reputation will likely take a permanent hit.
