The Dallas Cowboys endured a miserable 2020 season, but there’s reason for optimism heading into 2021.
Most of that optimism surrounds the return of Dak Prescott, who missed most of last season after suffering a gruesome ankle injury. The good news for Dak is he’s been taking part in Cowboys OTAs, and based on what he’s been saying, there’s no reason to believe that he’ll enter the week one with any limitations.
However, there’s always going to be some people who question whether that’s in fact true. After all, a compound fracture and a dislocation of the ankle is a little more serious than your typical ankle injury. So the jury’s still out on whether or not we should expect to see Dak at 100-percent to start the season.
What does Brett Favre think? The former Packers quarterback had to say on the Bolling With Favre podcast:
“My gut, I think he’ll be fine. The question is mentally – and I like Dak, I think he’s a very good quarterback, I think he’s a very good leader as well,”
From the sound of it, Favre has faith in Dak. But, as he pointed out, the mental aspect will be key. Has Dak fully gotten over the injury in his head? We’ll find out soon enough.
