Brett Favre chimed in on Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson asking for a trade.
As the standoff between the Houston Texans and quarterback Deshaun Watson continues, the hall of fame QB is offering up his opinion on the situation. Favre thinks Watson should continue to play for the Texans and worry about everything else later.
He also made the bold claim that NFL players “make too much money to voice an opinion.”
“I’m kind of old school,” Favre said. “You get paid a ton of money to do a certain job and just do it and let the chips fall where they may. I think we make too much money to voice an opinion, but I’m not saying he’s wrong. I think it’s a different day and time, and it’ll be interesting to see how the organization handles it.”
The Hall of Fame QB is a bit of a hypocrite in this situation as he essentially forced the Green Bay Packers to trade him after he retired in 2008 and then unretired when he saw he would get his way.
