After remaining largely quiet in recent months, Brett Favre broke his silence, not to speak on the welfare scandal where he is being accused of taking money from poor people, but to weigh in on Tucker Carlson’s battle with Fox News.
Favre took to Twitter to post a video and comment to join in the battle of Tucker Carlson vs Fox News.
“I’m with Tucker. Time to boycott Fox until they come to their senses and let the man speak,” Favre tweeted. The tweet was paired with a video of former Fox News host Megyn Kelly discussing Carlson’s recent firing.
Since Carlson’s departure, there’s been a vocal movement among conservatives to boycott Fox News, arguing that his firing was unjust.
Favre has been largely quiet since he was accused of improperly receiving welfare funds in Mississippi. Those funds were then used for a volleyball facility at the University of Southern Mississippi. The hall of fame quarterback denied knowing where the money was coming from, but leaked texts appeared to reveal the opposite. He’s yet to be formally charged.
Currently, Carlson remains under contract with Fox News until January 2025, preventing him from going elsewhere.
