Ron Rivera has officially kicked cancer’s ass!
On Thursday, Rivera’s daughter, Courtney Rivera, took to Twitter and dropped amazing news that the Washington Football Team head coach defeated cancer.
Rivera finished his final round of cancer treatments in October when he received his last round of chemotherapy and proton therapy, marking the end of his seven weeks of treatments.
He still had several more weeks of follow-up appointments that led to this glorious moment.
He did not miss a game in 2020 while being treated.
While the team finished under .500, he still led the franchise to a NFC East title and postseason berth.
