Vontaze Burfict will officially miss the rest of the 2019 season after the NFL announced Wednesday his season-long suspension will be upheld.
Burfict had submitted an appeal after receiving his initial suspension following hit to Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle.
The 29-year-old signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Raiders in the offseason, appearing in four games and recorded 18 tackles and a pass defense.
