Vontaze Burfict just can’t seem to follow the rules whether he’s on the football field or off of it.
According to ESPN, the free agent linebacker was arrested early Saturday in Nevada on a misdemeanor battery charge. Burfict was being held on $1,000 bond and a hearing was scheduled for Monday pertaining to his case.
“No information about the incident that led to Burfict’s arrest was immediately available.”
The NFL reinstated Burfict from suspension this past February after he was forced to sit out the final 12 games of the 2019 season for repeat violations of player safety rules following a helmet-to-helmet hit on Colts TE Jack Doyle.
In 2019, Burfict appeared in four games and recorded 18 tackles and a pass defense.
