Another major superstar and Grammy Award-winning singer has been added to Sunday’s Super Bowl 58 halftime show that will be headlined by Usher.
According to a report from TMZ, Alicia Keys will also be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show that’s taking place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The report noted that they’ve been rehearsing together, and that their 2004 duet and major hit “My Boo” will be performed at the show:
“Sources close to the production confirm eyewitness accounts that AK rehearsed with Usher inside Allegiant Stadium on Thursday. Now that we know she’ll be in the mix — the first confirmed guest of his BTW — all signs pointing to them doing one big song together.
Of course, we’re talking about their 2004 mega duet “My Boo” — which will undoubtedly be at least one of the tracks she performs.”
Keys, who celebrated her 43rd birthday two weeks ago, is a 16-time Grammy Award-winning singer who has sold more than 90 million records globally.
Super Bowl 58 will feature the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. While Kansas City is aiming to become the first team to repeat as Super Bowl champions since the 2004 New England Patriots, the 49ers will try to match the Pats and Pittsburgh Steelers for most Super Bowl trophies (six) among all NFL franchises.
Last year’s Super Bowl halftime show (held inside State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona) was performed by Rihanna. With more than 121 million viewers, it was the most-watched Super Bowl halftime show in history.
