On Tuesday, Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney II and disgruntled wide receiver Antonio Brown finally had a closed door meeting to clear the air and they both came away that it would be best if both parties separate, according to his tweet and a report from Adam Schefter.
Sources told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that while the team agreed to trade him, they did not grant him or his agent permission to talk to other teams.
The NFL combine gets going one week from today, so it’s safe to say that the Steelers will be quite busy trying to find suitable trade partners.
The Steelers owe Brown a $2.5 million roster bonus on March 17. Presumably, the Steelers will like to get something done before then.
