The Saints really love Taysom Hill for some reason.
Just 30 minutes after Drew Brees announced his retirement from the team, the Saints said they were restructuring Hill’s contract to create $7.5 million cap room.
It’s a 4-year, $140 million contract extension, however, all years are voidable.
According to Schefter, Hill’s contract numbers this year include a $9.686 million signing bonus, a $1.439 million guaranteed roster bonus and a $1.034 million guaranteed base salary along with incentives.
In 2020, Hill appeared in all 16 games for the Saints and completed 72.7 percent of his passes for 928 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. He
