Richard Sherman was booked into the Seattle Correctional Facility just after 6am this morning following an altercation with police officers at a family member’s home. He was arrested on charges of burglary domestic violence after he reportedly tried to enter a family member’s home and fought with police upon their arrival.
After trying to get Sherman to surrender peacefully, police officers were forced to deploy the K9 unit.
Sherman has reportedly been undergoing mental health issues for a few months now, and his wife, Ashley Moss, claimed he was intoxicated and threatening to kill himself during her 9-1-1 call. Sherman eventually made it to his father-in-law’s home in Redmond, Washington, where he was seen trying to break down the door to his residence.
Sherman was also involved in a car crash prior to arriving at Raymond Moss’ home. He is also facing charges of DUI and hit-and-run. He appeared before a judge on Thursday and was released without bail under a number of conditions, including a promise that he would appear in court before the judge on Friday.
