Tragic news for the NFL as the news was passed down that Bart Starr had lost his life on Sunday.
The Green Bay Packers legendary quarterback was the face of the franchise for years and easily one of the best quarterbacks in league history.
The team released this statement:
Aside from winning the first two Super Bowls ever, he also had five NFL Championships with his most memorable moment coming from the Ice Bowl game in 1967. Bart Starr suggested the QB sneak that won the Ice Bowl to Vince Lombardi, due to issues with footing for the tailbacks; Lombardi said, “Well then run it, and let’s get the hell out of here”
