Following the NFC Championship game between the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams where a missed pass interference call changed the outcome, there was a new proposal being thrown around by owners that allows uncalled penalties to be reviewed.
The catch is, the coach will have to cite the specific penalty and the player who committed it.
On Tuesday, it was actually approved.

Pass interference will now be among the plays subject to replay review. It will apply both to offensive and defensive interference. And it will apply to calls and non-calls.
Coaches will be permitted to challenge calls and non-calls of pass interference, and the replay official will initiate the process in the final two minutes of each half and overtime.

This is huge development as owners have notoriously resisted the idea of expanding the replay system.
Saints head coach Sean Payton stated the rule was passed 31-1 and it was revealed that the Bengals were the only team to vote against it.
