Antonio Brown continues to trend downwards as more negative news continue to follow him.
On Thursday, the New England Patriots WR found out that he was being dropped from Nike amid allegations that he sexually assaulted his personal trainer.
Via Boston Globe:
“A spokesperson for Nike said Wednesday night, “Antonio Brown is not a Nike athlete.”
Asked multiple times to elaborate on the reason for the decision and clarify its timing, the spokesperson declined. Several signs suggest that recent allegations against the wide receiver served as a catalyst for why the world’s largest sneaker seller would want to disassociate itself from Brown.”
Three days after the Patriots acquired AB, his former physical trainer Britney Taylor filed a civil complaint in US District Court in Miami that accuses him of sexual assault during two incidents from June 2017 and one from May 2018.
In a YouTube video titled “Antonio Brown Goes Sneaker Shopping with Complex,” Brown could be heard boasting about his lucrative deal with Nike that was posted weeks after the alleged sexual assault.
“I am getting a huge Nike deal, which is opening up leverage for a lot of other guys and a lot of up-and-coming players to get in the marketing world and making money off the field,” he said.
