Nick Bosa left the 49ers’ second practice of OTAs with what appeared to be a hamstring injury, but it was not the sight that 49ers fans wanted to see.
On Thursday, the team confirmed that Bosa suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain that would sideline him for a few weeks.
Injuries were a concern for Bosa when San Francisco selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft as he was limited to just three games in his final year at Ohio State because of surgery on a core muscle injury.
The rookie defensive tackle should be okay by training camp, which begins in July.
